Getting Involved in October

There is a lot going on this month as we turn the corner into Fall and the holidays are quickly approaching.

KCBA is holding the 2012 Bench and Bar Social on Thursday, October 18, 6-11p.m. at the home of David and Angie Torres, reserve your tickets online at www.kernbar.org

KCPA has invited all to submit the name and address of a family that could use a little help this year for their Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Drive.  In addition to the regular donation of a standard Thanksgiving dinner to 5 families, KCPA is also raising funds to supplement those dinners beyond the basic package, which includes but is not limited to, a dessert item. Lastly, the 2012 Holiday Luncheon (hosted by KCBA/KCPA) is set for December 13, at the beautiful Bakersfield Petroleum Club, save the date! Reservations can be made at www.kernbar.org. In addition, remember to purchase opportunity drawing tickets, benefitting CASA and Bakersfield Christmas for Seniors, as well as an unwrapped toy to benefit the Jamison Center. This year, as always, is sure to be a great success!
